With studio access being limited due to COVID-19, these posters came about during three 4 hour print sessions at Baltimore Print Studios in the fall of 2020. Utilizing only typefaces and inks available at that the studio, the series emerged as an homage to 3 musicians whose music has had a significant impact on my life this year: Kevin Devine, Manchester Orchestra, and Bad Books. They are tied together by the fluourescent pink color of ink and overlapping type. My practice often includes recycling imagery, type, and even language from other sources, and I found these song lyrics best represented the emotions I felt over the last 12 months.
